For the 2009 A6, Audi has decided to utilize a Roots-based belt-driven Roots supercharger atop their all-new 3.0-liter TFSI V6, as opposed to the turbocharger used in some other Audi models.  The 2009 Audi A6 offers prospective owners a choice of three engines:

1. 3.0-liter V6, Supercharged 300-hp 18/26 mpg city/hwy
2. 3.2-liter V6 255-hp 18/27 mpg city/hwy
3. 4.2-liter V8 350-hp 16/23 mpg city/hwy
