Volkswagen Carefree Maintenance

Tuesday, October 13th, 2009

To many, there’s nothing like owning and driving a brand-new car.  But when the time comes for maintenance, the same vehicle which brought so much joy flips a U-turn by inspiring sudden bouts of anxiety, worries and stress.  Volkswagen’s here to alleviate all three with two words: Carefree Maintenance.

What all does the program cover?  Click here for the Carefree Maintenance Brochure.   The maintenance schedule for each of Volkswagen’s models is slightly different, though most will have a 10k, 20k and 30k service intervals since they exclusively use synthetic lubricants.

Every 2010 Volkswagen available comes with Carefree Maintenance, including a no charge Courtesy Vehicle Check (see below). Carefree Maintenance covers all regularly scheduled maintenance for three years or 36,000 miles, at no charge. Those three words are sure to make you happy.  It’s what the people want.

Volkswagen’s Courtesy Vehicle Check includes:
*Check and adjust tire pressure
*Check belts and hoses
*Check all fluids
*Check interior and exterior lights
*Clean and check wipers
*Product review

0% APR on 2009 Volkswagen Touareg II

2009 Volkswagen Touareg II, rock crawling

Volkswagen has started its year in motor sports off with a bang. With a 1-2 finish in the Dakar Rally, the Touareg II racing team is showing its dominance early on in the season. As Volkswagen prepares for the 2009 Baja 1000, let’s reflect on what makes the Touareg such a great vehicle, both in production form and race form.

For starters, Volkswagen’s own 4XMotion 4-wheel drive system is one of the highlights of the Touareg II and is featured in heavily modified form on its race car brothers. Both the race car and road-going version share the same center-locking differential, which allows equal distribution of power to all four wheels. This makes the Touareg II very capable when it comes to scaling boulder-littered hills or navigating loose gravel roads, and also an obvious choice for off-road racers.

Even if you don’t plan on taking many off-road excursions, a new Touareg can still deliver unmatched driving pleasure at a great value. With two trim levels available, the VR6 FSI with its ultra-narrow angle 3.6-liter V6 producing 280 horsepower, and the V8 FSI with its 4.2-liter V8 producing 350 horsepower, you won’t be wishing you had more power with either model. Now’s your best chance to buy this future off-road legend, as Volkswagen is offering 0% APR financing on all 2009 Touareg models. If there’s any truth to the old saying “win on Sunday, sell on Monday,” there probably won’t be many Touaregs left on dealer lots.

This offer ends March 2, 2009, so you’d better hurry. For the full 4-page review on the Volkswagen Touareg, click here. To see the current deals on 2009 Touareg II’s in your region, click here.

0% APR on 2009 Volkswagen Routan

Friday, November 21st, 2008

You may have seen the ads with Brooke Shields urging you to choose child birth for the right reasons, not just for “German engineering.” While these odd commercials might leave many confused, the minivan being promoted in them may very well be the best excuse to have children yet. The 2009 Volkswagen Routan is an incredibly well-put-together vehicle featuring 7-passenger seating capacity and handsome styling.

Although a minivan has been absent from Volkswagen’s lineup for more than five years, this model proves that a large, family-oriented vehicle built by the German company (whose name literally translates to “people’s car”) makes nothing but absolute sense. The reasons for owning a Routan are countless, especially if you have a growing family. For example, the innovative LATCH system, which allows you to install a child seat easily and securely, comes as standard equipment on all models and is virtually unnoticeable with its anchor points hidden within the seats. Combine this feature with the power-folding third row seats that accommodate the substantial 141 cubic feet of cargo space and the optional JoyBox fully-integrated entertainment system and you’re left with the ultimate family vehicle. The Routan also excels in fuel economy, averaging 17/25 mpg (city/highway).

The deal gets even better though. Right now through December 1, 2008, qualified buyers can get 0% APR financing on all 2009 Routan models for up to an unbeatable 60 months. If you ask us, that sounds like reason enough to start producing offspring. To see just how much you can save, click the link below and type in your zip code.
