Hyundai Moves Aggressively to Take Market Share

It’s not surprising that sales have seen a sharp decline for the past several weeks.  That’s good news for you, the consumer.  Marketing departments are digging deep into their think tanks to unveil new campaigns aimed at bolstering sales in the post-Cash for Clunkers era, which means better deals right now.

Hyundai’s one of the main auto manufacturers to utilize aggressive incentives to increase their market share.  For a limited time, they are offering $1,000 on top of the value of your trade-in. If your car is worth $3,000, then you’ll get $4,000 for it. This extra $1,000 is in addition to other factory rebates or special financing rates that apply.

With the right trade-in, these offers could match or even beat the Cash For Clunkers government rebates. What makes this deal even sweeter is that there are no requirements for fuel economy, so any trade-in (and any replacement vehicle you choose) is eligible.

Using the above example of a trade-in vehicle valued at $3,000, you could get a 2009 Hyundai Sonata minus the $4,000 of your trade-in and  the $3,000 factory rebate for a whopping $7,000 off!

You don’t have much time to take advantage of these incredible savings though, as the offer ends September 30, 2009.

2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe Rear

Hyundai really hit it out of the park when they introduced the 2010 Genesis Coupe. While much of the spotlight has been on the 306-horsepower 3.8-liter V6 model, the real enthusiasts are rejoicing over the turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder model. With 210 horsepower and 223 lb-ft of torque, rear-wheel drive and a 6-speed manual transmission as standard equipment, the Genesis Coupe is a dream come true for people who are passionate about driving their cars the way they were meant to be driven.2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe Side

Before the Genesis Coupe 2.0T came along, there were hardly any entry-level rear-wheel drive sporty cars in the U.S. market, not to mention a any with a turbocharged power plant. That’s why the addition of the 4-cylinder Genesis to Hyundai’s lineup is so huge. The 2009 Genesis Coupe 2.0T is eager to take on any and all challengers, from the 2009 Mazda RX-8 and 2010 Ford Mustang V6 to the 2009 Civic Si and 2009 Volkswagen GTI.

What makes the Genesis Coupe 2.0T even more attractive to enthusiasts is the value. It’s a lot of car for the money. But don’t just take our word for it, read what Car and Driver’s review here.

And now the best part: Hyundai is offering a lease deal for the brand new 2010 Genesis at only $259/month for 36 months with only $1999 due at signing.

Get $1.49/gallon Gasoline, Courtesy of Hyundai

Hyundai $1.49/gallon Lock

Earlier this year, when Hyundai first announced their revolutionary Assurance Program, new car buyers were given a bit of relief from the world’s dire economic situation. Now Hyundai’s at it again, this time with an offer that should grant your weekly fuel expenses some much needed relief. Hyundai’s Assurance Gas Lock plan promises customers will only pay $1.49 per gallon for one whole year. Buyers of 2009 Accent, Elantra, Sonata, Azera, Santa Fe, Tucson or Vera Cruz models will have the option of receiving a special credit card that “locks” the price of regular gasoline in at $1.49 per gallon for one year.

No matter how much fuel prices jump in the coming months, Hyundai has got your back. This offer is here just in time too, as experts expect gas prices to climb as high as $3.00 per gallon in various parts of the country this summer. Customers also have the option of receiving a $1,000 rebate on their new Hyundai vehicle in lieu of the price lock credit card. Depending on how high gas prices rise, the rebate could ultimately end up saving you the most money of the two offers.

Still, judging by the economic curve balls we’ve been thrown in the past, there’s no telling what’s in store for the next year. Either way, Hyundai’s got a plan to get you into a new car with a few less things to worry about. Click here to learn more.

2009 Hyundai Santa Fe
2009 Hyundai Santa Fe Crossover

Another great offer available is the incredible $2,000 rebate for the 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe. Already reasonably priced, the Santa Fe maintains its reputation as an affordable crossover. But aside from being inexpensive, the Santa Fe is also extremely practical, with a total of 78.2 cubic feet of cargo space available when all the rear seats are folded down. When equipped with the optional all-wheel drive system, the Santa Fe transfers the power from its 2.7- or 3.3-liter V6 engine to all four wheels for maximum traction. This feature not only adds safety to the Santa Fe’s long list of great attributes, but also facilitates exciting off-pavement excursions. If Hyundai keeps deals like this coming, their spot near the top of the automotive heap is nearly assured once the dust settles.

And with a 10 year 100,000 mile powertrain limited warranty, you’ll have peace of mind knowing that Hyundai’s are amongst the most reliable cars on the road today.

2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe - Front

Hyundai surprised us all when they announced their plans for the 2010 Genesis Coupe nearly two years ago. Back then, a rear-wheel drive, high-output sports coupe from the Korean automaker seemed a bit farfetched. Now that the Genesis Coupe has landed on U.S. shores, we are faced once again with a feeling of surprise. With two outstanding motors available, a 210-horsepower, turbocharged 2-liter 4-cylinder engine and a 306-horsepower 3.8-liter V6, the Genesis Coupe has power to spare in any trim level. The turbo model reaches 60 mph from a stop in just over 7 seconds, while the V6 makes it in only 5.8 seconds. Another one of the Genesis Coupe’s performance highlights is its suspension. The front MacPherson strut and rear multi-link combo allows it to be taken comfortably to its limits when driven hard, while still providing a compliant ride during your typical commute.

With all of these great features, the Genesis Coupe could very well be the performance bargain of the decade. Hyundai wants this to be the case. That’s why they’re offering the Genesis Coupe 2.0T for just $259 per month for an incredible 36-month lease. Hyundai’s not giving car enthusiasts very many reasons to pass on this deal.
