Your Choice: Get 0.9% APR for 2009 Audi A4 or Lease 2010 Audi A4 for $449/mo

Thursday, October 15th, 2009

Whether you’re looking to finance a new luxury vehicle or just lease one, Audi is making it exceptionally easy for you either way. Right now, you can finance any 2009 Audi A4 at an incredible 0.9% APR or lease a 2010 Audi A4 2.0T Quattro Premium for only $449 per month for 36 months.

While these are both uncommonly good deals, which one is the better bargain? Well, that all depends on your own personal priorities. If you would like to eventually own the car you’re making payments on, then obviously financing is the way to go. If you enjoy driving a new car every three years or so and like to always have your vehicle under warranty, then you’d probably prefer leasing.

By leasing a car, you only make payments on what you “use up” of the car’s value plus whatever additional fees are required for finance charges or extra miles driven. Whereas with getting a loan to purchase a car, you end up paying for the entire cost of that car, plus interest based on the rate and period you agree to as well as other fees, in addition to depreciation.

However, you’ll have a state-of-the-art, German-engineered luxury car that’s 100 per cent your own to show for it when all is said and done. While on the other hand, you’ll have nothing but fond memories of your Audi once your lease is up and you have to return it to the dealership. While both of those options each have their own grim realities, let’s not forget that we’re talking about an Audi here. The value of an automobile is more than just in its monetary worth or the sum of its parts— it’s in the pleasure you get from driving it, owning it and experiencing it.

If you’d like to take advantage of these Audi offers, you should act soon. This deal ends November 2, 2009.

Luxury-Sport Sedans: 2010 Audi A4, 2010 Mercedes-Benz C300 or 2009 BMW 328i?

Wednesday, August 12th, 2009

If you’ve ever wanted to treat yourself to a luxurious sports sedan, now’s probably your best chance to get yourself into a new Audi, Mercedes-Benz or BMW. The entry-level offerings from all three companies have each earned top honors in their class through the years and continue to impress with every new model released, and if you have the right clunker to trade in, these might qualify for up to $4500 off the purchase price.

Whether you’re interested the highly-rated 2010 Audi A4, 2010 Mercedes-Benz C300 or 2009 BMW 328i, you’ll be happy to know that all three exude German refinement and a behind-the-wheel experience few automakers can match.  This is not to say they are all the same, however. In this post, we’ll go over the differences between these cars to help narrow down your selection and get you into the luxury car of your dreams.

2010 Audi A42010 Audi A4

The 2010 Audi A4 is available with two different engines, including a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder making 211 horsepower and a 3.2-liter V6 making 265 horsepower. Front-wheel drive is standard, but Audi’s famous Quattro all-wheel drive system is available. With the turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, fuel economy is fairly reasonable at 21/27 mpg (city/highway). The A4 seats five very comfortably, as Audi prides itself on its interiors. The Audi A4 has the lowest starting price of the three at $31,250.

2010 Mercedes-Benz C3002010 Mercedes-Benz C300

The 2010 Mercedes-Benz C300 comes with one engine choice, a 228-horsepower 3.0-liter V6, and in two trim levels—Sport Sedan and Luxury Sedan. The Sport Sedan model has a few less bells and whistles than the Luxury Sedan, but is otherwise the exact same car. A sportier-looking grille with a centered silver arrow emblem makes the C300 Sport Sedan stand out a bit more on the road. Another feature that makes the Sport Sedan model stand apart from the Luxury Sedan is the standard 6-speed manual transmission that further adds to the car’s sporty appeal. Rear-wheel drive is standard, but Mercedes’ 4Matic all-wheel drive is also available. The C300 Sport Sedan achieves 18/26 mpg (city/highway) and starts at $33,600.

2009 BMW 328i 2009 BMW 328i Sedan

While the C300 Sport Sedan may sound sporty, the BMW 3-series has a corner on the market when it comes to sportiness. The focus for the 2009 BMW 328i is on precision. Everything from the steering feel to the smoothness of the 230-horsepower 3.0-liter inline-6 is carefully tuned to constantly remind you that you’re driving a high-performance sports sedan. Its firm yet compliant suspension and silky smooth-shifting 6-speed manual transmission make it the obvious choice for true driving enthusiasts. Also, unlike the other two, the 328i is available as a coupe. The 328i comes standard with rear-wheel drive, but BMW’s xDrive all-wheel drive system is available. The 328i’s starting price matches the C300’s at $33,600 while fuel economy is slightly better at 18/28 mpg (city/highway).

Hopefully by now you have a better idea of which of these three luxury giants you’re interested in. With all the deals going on right now, you should be able to get your hands on one at a great price.

Lower Pricing on 2009 Audi TTS

2009 Audi TTS Grille

It comes as no surprise that Audi decided to integrate the coveted S into its model nomenclature shortly after the inception of its benchmark R8. The attempt is a declaration to join the ranks of BMW’s M Coupe, the Mercedes-Benz SLK 350, Honda’s S2000 and Porsche’s venerable Boxster. To kick things off, Audi has replaced the former TT’s 3.2-liter V6 powerplant with a more refined 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged TSFI engine. The turbocharger and direct fuel injection both combine to allow the TTS to produce a healthy 265 horsepower, fifteen more than the unit on which it is based. But that number does not tell the whole story. In terms of torque, the engine produces a solid 258 pound-feet of torque, and does so between 2500 to 5000 rpm. The systematic placement of both power and torque in this wide of a powerband results in grin-inducing power delivery, allowing the driver to keep the car in each gear longer, which for lack of a better term, is flat-out fun.

2009 Audi TTS Side View

The top speed of the 3,120-pound TTS is increased to an electronically-governed 155 mph, compared to the 130 mph limit of the TT. Fuel economy is also increased from 25 to 30 mpg, allowing the TTS to compete with even the most fuel-thrifty econo-boxes. But none of those commuter cars can sprint to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds like the TTS.

The TTS is a refreshing take on a car that has lapped its former days of glory. Audi has reinvigorated the flare of the TT with its bolder incarnation. Although its nuances may only spark the interest of Audi enthusiasts, the TTS is just what Audi needs to perpetuate the indisputable performance of its R8.
