L.A. Auto Show Highlights: 2013 Honda Fit EV

Honda was one of several automakers displaying all-electric vehicles at the L.A. Auto Show with the world premiere of its 2013 Honda Fit EV. When building an electric car starting from an existing platform, it would be hard to do better than the Fit.
Honda promises its first production electric car retains the gas-powered Fit’s fun and sporty driving dynamics, cavernous cargo area for the class and outstanding fit and finish. As for range, Honda has released its official range estimate of 76 combined city/highway miles using EPA test methods, though adds the Fit EV can travel 123 miles in the city under ideal conditions.
The 2013 Honda Fit EV will be available next summer in select markets (California and Oregon will be first). The Fit EV will be available for lease only at $399/month, and its MSRP will be $36,625.
